Product description
Pretty little vase in alabaster/white marble, veined with gray/black and brown/red, varnished, Belle Epoque style, Italian craftsmanship 1930-1940. Medici shape, turned-up rim carved with acanthus leaf motif, frieze in relief on the bottom, attractive turned foot with rings. 22cm high, 14cm diameter at the neck, approx. 9cm diameter for the body. Good overall condition, a few small marks of age on the relief of the rim and body, small, relatively discreet knocks and rubbing, container slightly askew on the foot, this is explained by a repair patching/gluing of a crack in the stone at the base of the container, quite discreet and not annoying. Approx. 2kg.
Original use and repair.
