Funny work by the Rotterdam artist and philosopher Peter Bastiaanssen. With his trademark the dog (Art is a dog), he always manages to incorporate humor into his work. In various domestic settings, the dog often acquires human traits. Sometimes other animals also play the leading role. In addition to his paintings, he also makes sculptures of wood. Master printer Peter Willems produced this screen print in collaboration with the artist. This created a beautiful series of screen prints. The works are so beautifully printed (each color has its own printing process) that it looks as if the work has been painted. When you come home from work after a tired day and see this work hanging at home, the corners of your mouth quickly rise again. The work is in perfect condition and is signed by the artist at the bottom right.
You can view the work in advance in the treasury of the Rotor gallery in Gorinchem or pick it up after purchase. Sales are made via the Whoppah platform.
