Since childhood, her eyes have captured the design of things and the essence of beings. Memories of distant lands and the ups and downs of life shape her work. The different stages of her life unfold through as many different techniques. After working with gouache and pastels, Patricia Pelsener turned to oil paint and papier-mâché. Self-taught, her hard work has gradually enabled her to develop her own style and give life to a complete and unpretentious expression of her feelings. Her paintings and drawings exude a quiet strength, a way of observing the world without haste or stress. For the real world, with its dysfunctions and aberrations, frightens Patricia. So painting is a refuge, an ongoing quest to give meaning to her life. Patricia Pelsener has exhibited in Brussels: Musée d'Art Spontané - Galerie Dupuis - Arenberg - Galerie Arthis and in France: Biennale de Lyon and Association Atypique de Paris.
