Product description
Pair of mid-century, vintage wall lights/ wall sconces made of brass and opaline (milk glass), Scandinavian style, circa 50’s 60’s (Selling as a pair only. Not selling each one individually.) Each sconce is in very good, original vintage condition. They have been tested and function. ( See photo and video) There are no cracks or chips on the glass (see photos.) The electrical wires are also in good condition and were checked for functionality, before being purchased. The fantastic, streamlined design of the brass components, combined with the opaline glass shaped like a rocket, evokes a space-age effect, typical of this period. Each sconce’s base support (wall mount), has a chrome-colored finish. The "G- clef" shaped branches that finish with a point like an "F-clef" have a brass-colored finish, as does the ornate, gilded décor under the conical shades. Each base support, has a hole at the top, in which to insert hooks, to make mounting onto a wall that much more convenient. Both sconces have a superb patina of time, with extremely light traces of age marks of usage, commensurate with time (see photos.) - Each sconce has a small socket, that works with screw-in, B-22 type, flame-shaped, bayonet bulbs (see photos.) - Functions up to 250 volts. - Lightbulbs not included On each base, there are three (3), small, flexible metal clips that one has to gently pinch first, before placing inside the glass shades, that then open and hold the shades in place. Please note: Before putting the shades into place, one must place the lightbulb into the socket. Lamp shades height: 19 cm
