Product description
Pierre Vandel is a French designer with international success, born in 1939. He founded his first high-end furniture workshop and then his brand "Pierre Vandel-Paris" thanks to his friend and patron Pierre Cardin. His avant-garde vision and his inventiveness, both glamorous and minimalist, seduce people all over the world. Today, in his seventies, Pierre Vandel continues to design new products in his workshop in Croix, near his hometown. These sideboards are composed of a square section frame assembled with a mitered cut and inlaid in the center with a slightly recessed brass band bearing the signature "Pierre Vandel-Paris". The tops are protected by Lucite (an acrylic glass that is stronger and lighter than mineral glass). The front of each piece is made up of two smooth doors that are pulled together by a brass handle in a triangle that forms a square when the doors are joined together. The interior is equipped with a non-modular shelf, fixed halfway up the storage space. These pieces of furniture rest on four brass legs that are slightly protruding at the front and simple at the back.During his career, Pierre Vandel has mainly designed tables and chairs.
