Product description
This set of two chairs was manufactured in Italy in the second half of the 20th century. The chairs are inspired by the famous Cesca B32 model. In 1928, Cesca was the first caned seat of its kind, designed by Marcel Breuer. The name was a tribute to Breuer's adoptive daughter, Francesca. One piece of the original chairs is in the New York Museum of Art. It is considered one of the 10 most important chairs of the 20th century. The chair frame is made of chrome-plated steel. The edges of the seat and backrest are made of solid white wood with natural patina. The center is made of French wicker in a characteristic weave known since ancient Egypt, resembling a net.
The chairs are in original vintage condition. They have minor scratches on the wicker and a mark on the seat frame. The seat is at a height of 44 cm. The dimensions of the chairs differ by 1 cm.
