Product description
This pair of Christian Dior candlesticks from the 1970s is attributed to Gabriella Crespi. The bases are made of half ostrich eggs in resin, while the brass shafts are each adorned with a gadrooned bone ring. Each candlestick is also plinth-mounted in brass with a rounded cut, recalling the voluminous curves of the rings. Reflecting the opulent aesthetic of the 1970s, this creation evokes the spirit of Crespi, who managed to harmoniously blend organic forms and materials with the eclectic trends of her time.
Gabriella Crespi began collaborating with the Maison Dior in the 1960s on home and table accessories, and from the 1970s on furniture.
