Product description
Beautiful portrait of a kingfisher. 'Ice song' This painting was made quite recently in November 2024 This painting is a beginning of a series of portraits of Dutch birds, 'Dutch birds' Painted by Britt Kleiberg 1980, Amersfoort Atelier based in Harderwijk Britt paints animals from all over the world with a story. In the corona period she highlighted the Dutch birds! - She majored in Graphic Design and Styling before finding her calling in contemporary art. Born into a family with a healthy interest in art, she was exposed to art at an early age and began painting at the age of 10. She loved going to museums and is grateful for the early education she received. It has given her the background for her current journey as a contemporary artist. Positivity, colors and freedom to move The use of color is an important part of her artistic vocabulary: "Colors make people happy and I like to bring joy and positivity into the world. Her color palette can represent an animal's natural environment, hunting or an emotion; depending on what she wants to communicate. And however more subdued, the background is part of it. She uses strange little shapes of color to "fill" her animals. These represent imaginary continents," she explains, "and can represent the areas where the animal belongs, or where it wants to be. In my artistic world, anything is possible.
