Nice little painting, unsigned, gouache or oil on wood panel, landscape format, horizontal, framed in gilded painted wood. Vintage 40s-50s, or earlier. Depicting a valley/mountain landscape in the background, with a bridge over a river in the foreground, with buildings on either side. Beautiful colors, nice light, nice technique. Frame 40cm wide, 31cm high, 2.5cm thick. Panel 36cm wide, 26cm high. Good condition, some wear on the edges of the panel, notably white marks on the right, a few small marks from the passage of time, scratches and cracks, squaring slightly visible under the paint at the level of the hill, small shiny spot on the bottom right... Frame a little worn. The format is just right for the frame, small day. Harmonious whole. Approx. 400gr.
