Pablo Picasso 'Pipe et verre sur une table' cubist collage, original lithograph 1914-- reproduced: Prof. Dr. Enrique Mallen - On-line Picasso Project - Comprehensive Catalogue Raisonné 1914/ page 6 (last photo) The picture is from the estate of my great-grandmother, who lived in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s and was herself connected with the Parisian art world. In the few years that I have had it, I have been looking around for it; I have talked to printers, and French people. The collage was made by Picasso before the First World War (the Braque era), and in the 1920s it became part of the collection of the painter André Lhote. The lithograph was made at this time, printed in Paris, on Alfa Special No.1 paper, in a very small series, very rare (I can guarantee all of this).
