XXL Size - Over Size -- The city of Moud is located in the northeast of Iran, south of Birdjand and Mashad. The rugs knotted here are usually of high quality, extremely durable and offer an excellent investment in quality and price in addition to their aesthetic beauty. Some Moud rugs have silk elements that emphasize the details and almost bring the rug to life. Moud rugs are woven with asymmetrical knots and often with good quality soft wool. Sometimes they are decorated with Herati patterns, but do not always show a classic medallion design (Moud Mahi). Or they show garden motifs (Moud Garden), where the carpet is divided into smaller squares, each depicting its own story, similar to Bakhtiari carpets. The base color is usually a bluish or light, ivory-white hue that contrasts nicely with the more striking reds and blues of the motifs.
