Very comfortable "Orchidée" lounge chairs by Michel Cadestin for Airborne International. This model was produced in France in 1968. The "Orchidée" was one of the Cadestin models ordered by the Centre Pompidou Museum in Paris. The chairs are upholstered in a wonderfully soft (off-white) rib fabric. The base has four caster wheels to make it easy to move the chair around a room. The chairs are in very nice condition with some light signs of use. Michel Cadestin He was born in France in 1942. An interior designer and architect, his work aims to provide functional and fun design that is accessible to the majority. His creations are varied, as evidenced by the furniture intended for the Center Georges Pompidou, such as the Karate armchair (1960s) and the Orchidée lounge chair. Cadestin studied at the famous Ecole Boulle and the National School of Decorative Arts. Cadestin received the René Gabriel Prize for his work.
