title: Turnabout
technique: digital creation

The triptych "Turnabout" consists of Vanity, Emptiness
and Loneliness. Our time resembles the inter-war period in which people were also unaware of the "inter" character of this era. I imagine there was just as much tension, fear, and hope back then as there is now. It manifests itself in various - to me terrifying - projects, such as Mars expeditions, the pursuit of space hegemony, nationalistic tendencies, genetic manipulation of humans and the arduous task of saving our planet. At the same time, we see growing movements in which the pursuit of simplicity and a greater awareness of our humanity play a major role. These thoughts form the basis for the triptych "Turnabout". The vanity manifested in man's striving to conquer space, the emptiness in the continued pursuit of materialistic goals, and the loneliness of the conscious in the midst of economic violence. The style combines classical forms on the one hand with cubist influences on the other, realized with contemporary techniques.
A certificate is supplied with the work stating that only 1 copy of the work has been produced and will no longer be made.

It is said that I am a researcher and whoever seeks, can also find. For a real seeker that is not important. What is found leads to the next question, with everything previously found as a driving force.
I supervised editors, trained inventors and advised entrepreneurs and was an entrepreneur myself. I Was a Psychotherapist and Author of "Glad to Have Doubt"
Now I research the possibilities of digital creation, modern printing techniques and new materials. But not without also asking a deeper question: our rational thinking helps people move forward, but towards where?
Besides my interesting jobs, I was never bored.
Creative freedom started early. From the age of 15 I played double bass in jazz formations. That brought me insight into timbre and improvisations.
Later -in France- I worked with photo ceramics because the glazes give such beautiful intense colors.
Glass slumping and fusing has long been another “hot” topic.
In Arizona I fabricated some interesting bronzes.
Now, retired, I live on one of the beautiful islands of Zeeland.
Developing my own style of images has become my passion, new interesting techniques with new results.
My hearing made the double bass mainly decorative; I now develop new compositions in image form.
Creativity and passion just keep going!
Until the Covid period I exhibited regularly
