Designed by Joe Colombo in 1965, the Spider lamp is composed of a single luminaire in fire-painted metal, expressly designed for a special horizontal spot light bulb, mounted on a chromed vertical rod and supported by a painted metal base. A melamine joint allows the inclination and repositioning of the reflector.
n 1967, Spider won the first Golden Compass Award for Oluce and, in 1972, it was in New York for the unforgettable exhibition entitled ”Italy: The New Domestic Landscape”. Moreover, it is part of the permanent collections of the Triennale International Exhibition in Milan, of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, of the Kunstmuseum in Dusseldorf and of the ”Neue Sammlung” Museum in Munich.
Power cord has been shortened to 50cm cable. Can be replaced with new power cord.
