Man, animal and pattern are the most recurring elements in Nicola Rozemeijer's work. (Utrecht) The visual outer world influences her inner world and returns mixed to the canvas. She paints animals and people in such a way that it seems that they are not or hardly aware of what is going on outside them. Concentrated or dreamy, they reside in a fictitious or unreachable world for the viewer. The backgrounds, which are sometimes a schematic representation of an environment or sometimes only consist of patterns, emphasize this "fantastic" world.
Rozemeijer (Utrecht) exhibited in countless places and received a stipend several times.
