Belgium / 1890 / Religious Triptych / Wood, Paper, Glass / Neo-Gothic / Antique Very old framed icon print under glass, patina Handgeschilderde panelen op de zijkant Fabulous Late 19th Century Italian Chromolithograph Print of Christian Religious Icon Nostra Mater de Perpetuo Succursu "Our Lady of Perpetual Help.” This print was produced in Rome, Italy by Lithographer Luigi Salomone in Multi-Stone Planographic Color Technique of Chromolithography. The icon print is protected by glass and a carved wooden frame with two side panels. Both side panels are hand painted and can be closed. Left panel “Moeder van Bijstand” (Our Lady of Perpetual Help). Right panel: “Bid voor ons” (Pray for us) Our Mother of Perpetual Help (Latin: Nostra Mater de Perpetuo Succursu), popularly called Our Lady of Perpetual Help, is a Catholic title for the Blessed Virgin Mary, associated with a 15th-century Byzantine icon and a supposed apparition of Mary. This print is a copy of a 15th-century Byzantine icon and a supposed apparition of Mary, depicting Mary with the baby Jesus. The child looks at the archangels Gabriel and Michael who flank Mary with instruments of the passion. The child is startled and loses his sandal. Dimension opened triptych: 121 cm width Ref. 25-0114
