This Munkegaard is part of the Louis Poulsen collection since it was designed for the Munkegaard School in Gentofte near Copenhagen. The lamp was originally designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen. It has a diffuser made of opal glass, a metal frame and a brass rim. Unfortunately, I have to get rid of this rare Munkegaard ceiling lamp because I added a skylight during renovations that left no room.
The lamp is in very good condition for its age, with some minor signs of use on the brass rim and a few fine black streaks (no scratches). See images 16-18. The center plate, see image 8, falls crooked due to the weight of the LED lamp, but you can easily fix this by securing it or putting something in between. This is what I did when I bought the lamp. Everything is inside the lamp, so you won't see any of it.
I have included as many pictures as possible to be as transparent as possible about the condition. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
The lamp comes assembled, including instructions for removing the shade to hang the lamp.
