Only at a later age did Ludo Modelo start painting
because he hadn't been given the chance from his parental nest
to receive any academic education.
The creative jitters were present from an early age
and around 40 he finally gave in to his inner urge to create Art.
This is how his first paintings were created. It started with figurative works,
to slightly more pasty and later even more abstract works.
Always multicolored and certainly not sad. Over the years his style has completely changed and grown,
but the experimental and creative aspect has continued to play a major role.
Today he gives a full colorful touch to his people,
with the big mouths or rather “Antwerp faces”,
which originated from the saying that Antwerp residents have a big bowl

About 50 individually painted mannequins graced the streets, squares and shops in the old quarter of Antwerp during the summer.
Signed by Modelo on both hands, both his name and year.
