Designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, the Superquadra furniture line takes its name from Lúcio Costa's pilot city plan design with Oscar Niemeyer, conceived in 1956 for a residential district in Brasilia and presented as a series of simple prefabricated houses. The square volumes of the famous buildings suspended from agile pilotis have been renewed to feature sideboards, sofas, coffee tables, console tables and tables of the Superquadra family. The architectural imprint that characterizes the airy volumes of Superquadra storage units translates into the graphic minimalism of the Superquadra line of coffee tables, benches and console tables. The elements rest on a base with protruding legs, in aluminum with a polished Brandy lacquer finish, giving the products an ultra-light appearance. The discrete design is animated by a mix of high-quality materials - marble, wood, fabric and leather - used for the shelves and chairs, and interpreted in a modern, structured style.
