Product description
This elegant Mid Century Modern sofa was designed in the 1950s by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen and manufactured in Denmark by France and Daverkosen. The simple, minimalist design from the Minerva series is a wonderful example of Scandinavian design and Danish craftsmanship. This version is the smaller version made of solid teak with a backrest attached to two chrome brackets. The original spring core upholstery has been covered with new foam and reupholstered with high-quality fabric from Sahco / Kvadrat. The upholstery rests on the typical rubberized spring belts. The wedge-shaped backrest rests loosely and is supported by the teak frame. Thanks to the beautiful backrest, the sofa can also be placed anywhere in the room.
The wooden frame and the chrome parts only show slight signs of wear in the form of small scratches and knocks. The wooden parts have been refurbished. The cushions have been renewed and reupholstered. The rubberized brown spring belts under the cushions have all been replaced with new, black belts. The sofa is in very good overall condition.
