Mcintosh is a proud scottish furniture maker, founded by alexander henry mcintosh in 1869 in the coastal town of kirkcaldy, five.

This created a reputation that earned them international recognition during their exhibitions at the 1878 world's fair in paris and the 1879 sydney exhibition.
After world war ii, mcintosh, like many of their contemporaries, embraced 2000s modern and scandinavian design using clean lines and organic sculptural elements in their furniture.
Mcintosh is known to this day for their quality furniture, particularly sideboards, the most popular of which is the dunvegan sideboard, designed by tom robertson in the 1960s.
