Mid century retro vintage rosewood wall unit by Poul Hundevad Danish design
Poul Hundevad (1917-2011) was a Danish furniture designer. He trained as a carpenter and for several years had a workshop in Ulladulla where he made furniture and cabinets for other designers.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Hundevad produced dining tables and chairs, sideboards and sideboards, chests, side tables, shelving systems and armchairs, sometimes in collaboration with other designers.
This stunning piece was produced in the mid-century and has all the wonderful design features. Made of excellent quality through and through, the rosewood is fantastically drawn. This piece can not only be used as a complete wall unit, but each piece can also stand alone. The upper cabinet consists of two bookcases with sliding glass doors and a lower cabinet section, the third cabinet is a cocktail cabinet with a bar flap. The inside of the lower parts of the units are lined with maple wood. Another nice feature of this wall unit is that each section comes in two parts, which is very easy to transport.
The condition of this device is in a good used vintage condition with some light signs of wear.
