century, vintage, wall mount coat rack from the 1950's-60's. This coat rack from France, is made of turned wood, and hand-carved with a superb, ''faux bamboo'' effect, with 4 pegs (hooks.) These kinds of coat racks were commonly found in French bistros, in the 50's - 60's The carved pegs are fantastic and very useful; their shape will perfectly match the shape of any coat, jacket or hat when hung. The front of the hooks have a very unusual brass tips( see photos). In good, overall, original and vintage condition, with a beautiful patina of time. Some light signs, marks of age and previous usage commensurate with time (see photos.) There are two hooks at the back of the piece, to enable one to affix it to a wall (see photos.) Piece has been gently cleaned, oiled with flaxseed oil and waxed, to preserve the beautiful, original, patina of time. Both a great looking and useful piece of rustic, vintage décor, to compliment any given space, whether placed in an entryway, mudroom, bedroom, bathroom or other.
