Product description
Dieter Wäckerlin was one of the most important Swiss interior architects and designers of the 20th century. Wäckerlin worked for many well-known companies, including Horgenglarus and Idealheim.
His work is characterized by a functional and minimalist approach to design. He often used wood and metal and avoided unnecessary ornamentation. Waeckerlin was a pioneer of modular design, which made it possible to create expandable furniture systems.
He won numerous awards for his design achievements, including the Good Design Award from the Chicago Institute of Design. His career was brought to a premature end by his sudden death in 1972. Today, his work is exhibited in numerous design museums.
