Product description
Elegant mid-century Italian designer lamp, designed by Pietro Chiesa and manufactured by Fontana Arte in Italy, during the 1940s. The light has two facing curved glass panels. This ceiling lamp is a perfect example of Italian design descended from an eminent family of Ticino artists. In 1932, Gio Ponti asked Pietro Chiesa to participate in the artistic direction of the newborn Fontana Arte, a role that would allow him to give full expression to his creative style by designing more than a thousand different objects (furniture, tables, lamps, windows of glass, art objects, etc.). Some of these pieces went down in design history and are still produced by FontanaArte today, such as the Fontana curved table (1932), the Cartoccio vase (1932) and the Luminator floor lamp (1933). This beautiful piece is made of brass and will add elegance to any room with an exquisite interior, an ideal complement to your living room, family room, projection room or even the office, as well as the lobby of a boutique hotel, a cocktail bar, a members club or a luxury boutique. Dimensions: 85 cm x 24 cm x 15 cm - Glass height: 27 cm Condition: Wear to the brass gilding as shown in the images.
