Pretty vase from the 50s/60s
It is difficult to say whether this vase is made of bronze or brass. It is very well made, quite thick and heavy.
Its inlaid herbarium decoration is simple but so effective and gives this organically shaped vase another dimension.
Despite the years, this vase has retained its place in our contemporary decoration. Ideal for hosting small bouquets, it will quickly find its mark on a row, side table or centerpiece.
When I found it, it was almost black with oxidation.
After a good cleaning and some elbow grease, it regained this beautiful shine.
Over time it will return to a duller color but with regular maintenance (approximately once a year), it will keep this beautiful gold color.
