Vintage designer cabinet / wall unit / highboard.
White, by Italian Meroni (& Colzani?).
Logo (elephant and the M) of Meroni on key and locking system (this I see as brand label). Designer (which brother, or Laura?) not known to me. For enthusiasts, you don't come across this cabinet very often.
120 x 120 x 45 cm outside dimensions. Adjustable shelves 114 x 39.5 cm. (Cabinet has no wheels, that is the driving shelf)
Bought second hand in 1989. There is 1 key (Code M 7). Hinges and locks / adjustment system shelves made with attention to detail. Inlay of hardware. Doors do not close dust-free.
Surface is not smooth, it has a very slight texture in the veneer. Heavy wood, except for the doors not dismountable.
Cabinet was repainted 5 years ago with Histor RAL 9010 which was closest to the original color, over Wijzonol adhesive primer.
Despite damage a beautiful cabinet that I would love to see go to an enthusiast.
Small scratches here and there that come with age. One (1) large damage (missing a piece of wood on 1 bottom corner on the right. One (1) screw hole on top (there are 4 corresponding 'holes' near the short sides on top. These are not for disassembly as far as I could discover). One (1) hinge, middle of left door, has a crack but still works.
