Product description
Michele de Lucchi designed this chair, called "First," in 1983 for Memphis Milano. The chair has a gray metal frame, black lacquered wooden armrests and seat and a blue lacquered wooden backrest.
This is an original copy from 1983, imported in 1993 by COPI space in The Hague. This specimen was part of the large Memphis exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in the early 1990s. It was not purchased then for the permanent collection, but came to me.
Height 90cm, Width 59cm, Depth 50cm, Seat height 46cm.
The chair has the following signs of use: scratches on the back of the frame, a small damage in the lacquer on the seat and minimal damage to the lacquer on the armrest.
