Rare vintage design lamp by Ingo Maurer for M design.
The design is a collaboration with designer Friedman Graff. Hence the name for this lamp "Graffunzel".
Overall height is 78cm. Lamp itself can be adjusted in height by simply sliding it. Lamp can also rotate about its horizontal axis.
Original sticker still present. Please note that there are 3 fine cuts in the base. 2 in the back and 1 in the front. See photos. Furthermore, the base has some age patina (can be further polished if desired)

Ingo Maurer was born in Germany in 1932. After studying graphic design, he settled in New York USA where he worked as a freelance designer. In 1963 he returned to Germany Munich where he founded Design M and designed several iconic lamps. In 2011, Maurer received the prestigious "Compasso d'Oro" award from ADI (Italian Association for Industrial Design).
Maurer died in 2019 but until today his lamps have been exhibited in numerous design museums such as MoMa in New York.
