OnOff table lamp 1988 Designed by Alberto Meda + Denis Santachiara + Franco Raggi for Luceplan. The idea begins with a "gravity" socket (originally used in freezers) that offers original qualities for a lamp: the unit is not turned on or off with a control placed along the wire, but by changing the position of the entire lamp with a simple gesture of one hand. A red LED makes it easy to find the lamp in the dark. Part of the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1994. Rare pink version.
