Poul Henningsen. Poul Henningsen was not happy with the light produced by the electric lamp. If it was not too bright, the lampshade absorbed most of the light. To solve this problem, he invented the three lampshade system, which made it possible to get as much out of the light as possible without the risk of being blinded.
