This design classic "Senior" table or desk lamp was designed in the 1950s by the famous architect and designer Louis Kalff and was produced by Philips. The lamp is made of brass and is one of Kalff's UFO-shaped lamps and has beautiful concentrically placed long slots.
Philips label present on the foot.
The lamp is in good vintage condition and shows normal signs of wear according to its age (see photos). The hood shows only a few scratches and a slight, non-disturbing deformation (no dents). Beautiful patina on the chrome-coloured center bar. The inside shows some patina/rust traces on the cover lamp holder. These are located under the hood and are not disturbing (see photos).
The lamp was rewired in the past (not by us), has been tested and works.
Estimated period: Design 1950s, production 1960s.
