They are still being made,this one will have been made around 1970.This ottoman in the shape of a pig was first produced around 1930 in England by "Old Bill" (who was already making leather travel bags for Liberty) in London for Liberty, which still sells it. In the late 1950s, this work was taken over by Dimitri Omersa (who had come to England from then Yugoslavia). Trade name "Omersa." Omersa introduced new animals, such as an elephant and a donkey. From the mid-1960s until the late 1980s, the leather ottomans were also sold by Ambercrombie & Fitch in America. Today, they are marketed in America by Scully & Scully.
This one dates from around 1970s. In nice vintage condition.
