Product description
Large pendant by the Italian designer Paolo Rizzatto for Luceplan.
This particular pendant is a perfectly functioning and carefully finished prototype belonging to the Glass Glass range, which Rizzatto designed in 1998. Since Glass Glass models were never marketed with brass fixtures and amber colored shades in this size, this impressive ‘new old stock’ pendant is truly unique. Marked.
Dimensions: height of the glass: 17.3 inches (44 cm), diameter: 15.3 in. (39 cm).
After the illustrious company of Arteluce was sold to Flos Luceplan was founded in 1978 by three architects, all close acquaintances of Gino Sarfatti: his son Riccardo, his daughter in law Sandra Severi and Paolo Rizzatto. The latter had also been closely involved with Arteluce, as he designed a number of iconic lamps for this firm in the early 1970s. Since 1978 Rizzatto (Milan 1941) has been the driving creative force at Luceplan but he has served numerous other clients as well, like Alias, Artemide, Cassina, Danese, Driade, Knoll, Kartell, Mandarina Duck, Philips, and Thonet.
