Large Peill and Putzler white Malta pendant lamp by Aloys F. Gangkofner
Rare Peill & Putzler vintage pendant lamp made of opaline milk glass. Designed by Aloys F. Gangkofner for Peill and Putzler in the 1960s. The mid century modern pendant lamp does look something like the Danish Fog & Mørup. The lamp is made of milk glass. Milk glass always has a nice diffused light. Peill & Putzler is a German lamp factory that has designed many design classics.
The vintage drop pendant lamp has a modern timeless look and fits any interior. From wabi sabi and japandi to mid century modern and contemporary. The shape also provides a 90's sleek touch. The lamp fits not only in many vintage interior styles but also in almost any room. From hall, toilet to living room and (children's) bedroom hanging lamp. However, there must be enough height here, the lamp comes down about 1m. So would also be nice next to a couch hanging in the corner. With different wiring, the lamp could also become a large floor lamp or table lamp because it is very sturdy. The wiring would then come out of the shade along the top.
The lamp is in good condition and still has the original wiring and socket. The aluminum ceiling cap is unfortunately painted. The lamp has some minimal inconspicuous chips, which can be seen in the photo.
Height of the glass is 68cm.
The lamp will be well packed with care for during shipping. I add items regularly but by no means everything is online.
