(Chair not included - only for scale/reference) The table is of high-quality craftsmanship, made entirely of wood and finished with a glossy black piano lacquer. Depending on the degree of extension, the base reveals stunning root wood in a warm, grained tone. The table was attributed to Jean Claude Mahey but this can not be verified, there is no marking. The tabletop features beveled corners, and the entire edge of the table tapers elegantly. A standout feature is the ability to extend the table in two stages into a long dining table, accommodating up to 12 people. It could also serve as a distinctive conference table. The extension panels can conveniently be stored inside the root wood base and are then invisible (check last picture). The condition is good, with small or minor signs of use as shown in the detailed photos, very few (light) top scratches. It is a timelessly designed, remarkable piece of furniture.
