Beautiful black leather 'Modus' lounge chair was designed by Kristian Vedel and produced by Søren Willadsen Møbelfabrik. This beauty was made in Denmark in the 1960s. It is a compact armchair with a seating comfort you can say hello to! The armchair has had a thorough leather treatment and is now almost like new! The frame is made of solid rosewood and is in excellent condition. Kristian Vedel (1923-2003) completed his apprenticeship as a furniture maker in 1942 and studied a few semesters with Haare Klint at the "Department of Furniture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts" (1947 - 1949) in Copenhagen. Later he taught at the Department of Furniture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. After a long stay abroad, he and his wife opened a design studio in Thyholm, Denmark in 1972. Dimensions: 71 cm wide, 68 cm deep, 66 cm high, 50 cm seat depth, 37 cm seat height.
