Product description
This is a reproduction of Kor Onclin's later work. Colors, abstract, expressive. It is framed with a wooden frame, a passe-partout and a perspex plate. Kor Onclin was born in Leeuwarden in 1918. For much of his artistic life he worked in Privas (Ardèche). There he was very productive and won several prizes. The municipality of Privas purchased his work and named a square after him. In the early 21st century, he returned to the Netherlands, where he died in 2003. His earlier work is akin to Cobra. You can call it lyrical-abstract expressionism. His work is exhibited regularly. The most recent major exhibition took place in Pavilion Obe Leeuwarden. His work was exhibited at Kunsthandel de Boer shortly before World War II. After World War II, Onclin studied orthopedagogy and psychology. Until 1978 he worked in The Hague as a psychotherapist and teacher at the Social Academy. In the 1970s he exhibited in several galleries in the Netherlands. In 1978 Onclin left for France (Privas, Ardèche), to devote himself entirely to painting. From 1981, he exhibited mainly in France. His work received several awards. From the mid-1980s he exhibited again in the Netherlands. More information about Kor Onclin can be found on the website www.koronclin.com.
