Coffee or cocktail table by Knut Hesterberg produced by Ronald Schmitt, Germany circa 1965. It consists of cast aluminum parts and is in good condition. The price is for the base only. We add the glass top for free, it has a few small scratches. The base will be disassembled for shipping.
This beautiful sculptural coffee table of tempered glass and aluminum was designed in the 1960s by German designer Knut Hesterberg for Ronald Schmitt. The table has a very elegant table frame with 4 sculptural columns of solid aluminum, polished and ground. Knut Hesterberg is a world-renowned German sculptor who began his career at the graphic art and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland. In the late 1960s he designed sculptural table forms, notably for Ronald Schmitt Eberbach and to a very limited extent for Bacher Tische in Renningen near Stuttgart, to bring art into people's everyday lives. This coffee table is a high-quality aerodynamically shaped coffee table, which will impress in any setting and in any interior.
