The upholstery fabric is made of fine, soft new wool, in which the seams are part of the design and are beautifully sewn onto the object by a master hand using the ladder stitch (it is also called magic stitch because the thread is not visible) (highest level of craftsmanship). The backrest was also stitched horizontally and provided with 2 upholstery buttons.
The removable seat cushion has a spring core with horsehair padding and also a hand-sewn cover. The cushion cover consists of upholstery felt with a quilted upper side textile stretch fabric.
An armchair with excellent craftsmanship - which you hardly get in this quality today - paired with a relaxing seating comfort that doesn't want to let you get up anymore.

Condition:
The lounge chair is very well maintained and in very good condition! The previous owner (architect) had it reupholstered with a high-quality new wool cover, so that our effort in this regard was limited to professional cleaning, which we always do for textiles. The cover otherwise has no scratches, tears or holes and is completely odourless. Only in the front area of the armrests is it a nuance lighter, but that is so small that it cannot be photographed.
We have completely overhauled the beautiful feet so that they now look like new again. We completely removed the old paint and then carried out a multi-stage wood oil treatment. We also treated him to a new tensioning fabric.
All in all, a very beautiful, exceptional armchair in exquisite condition, which its new owner will enjoy for decades to come.
