Kembo 302 Easy chair in anthracite gray.
First design W.H. Gispen for Kembo in 1952, prize winner Italian Triennial 1954. Solid steel frame. Deep green-gray hopsack upholstery. Leg caps renewed. Very comfortable seat. Of the two variants, this is the higher model.
A piece of history:
After a disagreement with the shareholders of his own furniture factory, Willem Gispen decided to go his own way and founded Kembo, which stands for "Kom Eerst Maar Bij Ons." His goal was to design even better chairs than those from Gispen's stable, and in this case he certainly succeeded. The 302, W.H. Gispen's first design for Kembo, immediately won prizes at the Italian Triennial in 1954, which is why it is also known as the Gispen/Kembo Triennial.
The upholstery of this armchair has been carefully cleaned, and the metal frame has been polished, making it ready for immediate use.
