Product description
Old Kandem desk lamp, model 967, designed by Bauhaus designer Marianne Brandt - Liebe and Hin Bredendieck, late 1920s. Made by Kandem later LBL (Leuchtenbau Leipzig), The lamp is still cloaked in its characteristic dark brown lacquer, which is really immaculate, "outstanding. The lamp has the original socket, switch and cord have been replaced. Note in particular the connections of the shade and base, completely original and adjustable with the Kandem principle. The base is glass, this was done to replace the cast iron base for lack of metal due to the war efforts in Germany. The underside of this base is slightly scratched, so the glass shines through a bit, almost not visible when the lamp is standing. Dimensions depend on the position: Height: 48 cm and shade diameter 15 cm. Fitting: E27,
Switch not original, scratches on the underside, good to get rid of but I did not because of the orginality.
