Biography:
Jürgen Angeler studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. He began painting in 2014 and took part in his first exhibitions. His first solo exhibition followed in 2015 and since then he has participated in several exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Austria, continuously developing his technique.
The artist pays particular attention to Informalism, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s and 1950s. The mixture of arbitrariness (setting impulses) and chance (drip painting, squeegee technique) plays a decisive role. The end result is a finished picture that expresses the tension that has built up during the creative process.
His paintings can be found in collections in many European countries, the USA, Japan, Hong Kong and Greenland.
