Biography:
Jürgen Angeler has studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. In 2014 he started painting and participated in first exhibitions. The first solo exhibition followed in 2015. Since then he participated in several exhibitons in Germany, Italy and Austria and continuously developed his technique.
The artist pays particular attention to Informalism, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s and 1950s. The mixture of arbitrariness (setting impulses) and coincidence (drip painting, squeegee technique) plays a decisive role. At the end there is a finished painting that expresses the tension that was built up during the creative process.
His paintings are in collections in many European countries, USA, Japan, Hong Kong and Greenland.
