Biography :
Jozef (Jos) Van Acker, Waasmunster, Belgium, 1937, was trained as a sculptor at the Academy of Fine Arts.
He loves the glorification of the human figure and women in particular.
He has also made several large sculptures for public spaces, such as parks and squares, including the Priest Poppeomgang at the church in Moerzeke (Belgium). In addition, he has exhibited regularly at various art galleries in Brussels, Brasschaat, Lokeren, Lede and Id+Art in Hamme.
He works with materials such as terracotta, plaster, wood, stone, marble and bronze. He composes his own color and patina. He usually uses the lost wax method (cire perdue).
