Product description
"espace graphique" black and white silkscreen by joseph Kadar (1936-2019) Signed in pencil. Shipped flat in an extruded polystyrene container. Joseph Kadar is known as a painter, photographer, graphic artist and sculptor. He was born on July 25, 1936 in Debrecen (Hungary). In 1965-1961, he studied at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts under Aurel Bernath and Geza Fonyi. In 1939-1954, Kadar lived in Hajduszoboszlo; in 1969, he moved to Paris. His early Parisian period was influenced by Surrealism, Constructivism and, to some extent, Abstractionism. The artist defines 1973 as the beginning of his period of "dualism", 1984 as the beginning of the period of "horizontalism". In 1969, he created his first mail-art and book objects. From 1979 onwards, Kadar became seriously involved in art photography. In a series of photographs and photograms, he captured impressions of his travels in Israel, India, Italy, Greece and Spain. These works were much appreciated by Lucien Hervé, (a French photographer of Hungarian origin). At the same time, Kadar began experimenting with electrography. In the early 1980s, he created art objects with a photocopier, also using photographs and collage elements. In 1985, kadar left painting to further his research into photo copying and computer electrography methods (black & white as well as color). He also worked with various non-reproducible techniques (such as three-dimensional relief electrography).
Unframed, the frame is presented as a decorative idea.
Shipped flat in an extruded polystyrene box.
