A design classic; the ceramic vase by Dutch industrial designer and artist Hella Jongerius (1963) for Ikea Sweden, a design from 2005 and no longer in production. The model is called Jonsberg.
This heavy imposing vase came in four different versions, and for the same archetypal shape, different ceramic techniques were used, both earthenware and porcelain. Moreover, the colors and decorations differ from one vase to another, referring to different parts of the world: the Soviet Union, Africa, Asia and Europe. Jongerius' vases were decorated manually by artisans from different cultures
