Johan IJzerman has made several paintings, bronze and steel and stainless steel modern sculptures. Some are on traffic circles in Dronten and at the swimming pool in Lelystad, including a sculpture of a mermaid in front of the entrance and a stainless steel work with several rings further on the grounds.... He makes things on commission but is also known for paintings related to sports. He exhibits at the Cube, cultural center and has works at the Art Loan. His works have been purchased by Municipalities, Province, companies and individuals. He has served on the board of the Flevoland Artists Association and has been a teacher at the Free Academy.
