Product description
Here's a beautiful set of 5 fabric coasters, still in their original box, by the famous Japanese stylist and designer Junko Koshino. Born in 1939, she opened her first boutique to sell her creations in Tokyo in 1966, presented her first ready-to-wear collection in Paris in 1970, and her haute couture collection in 1978, before moving into home and interior design. She also presented designs at New York's Metropolitan Museum in 1990. Her family history is also worth a visit, but I'll let you discover that for yourself! These coasters are so beautiful that it's almost a shame to use them for their original purpose. You could imagine putting them in a frame on the wall, or under the glass of a serving tray! Made of fabric (two layers joined by fine, neat stitching), each features the same floral motif printed on the fabric in different, carefully chosen colors, and the JK logo of its home decor brand on the reverse. They are in perfect condition, probably never having been used, with only the cardboard box showing a few marks and abrasions that testify to the age of the set, probably brought back in the 80s or 90s from a trip to Japan. Each coaster measures 10 cm on a side. The box measures 11 cm on a side and is 2 cm thick.
Abrasions and marks on cardboard box, coasters are in perfect condition.
