Jeanne Wesselius is a Dutch painter and poet, born in 1931 in Leiden, Since 1953 she lived and worked in the Amsterdam Rivierenbuurt. As a painter she was supervised by Anton Rovers, visual artist in Amsterdam. Jeanne became a member of the Sint Lucas artists' association (1979). Later she joined the Kunstskollektief Segment and a few years later became a member of The Independents (1992).
Jeanne has a series of group and solo exhibitions to her name. Her work can be found in Dutch and foreign collections. As a poet she took part in several poetry workshops and poet festivals. She won the Strellus Poezieprijs 2000 and the Plantage Poezieprijs 2002.
